So I keep missing my favorite day of the week (fun fact friday) so I'm making a saturday specific instead lol.
I was able to attend the wedding reception for my best friend since freshman year in high school, Carissa Lewis, last night. It was absolutely beautiful. The house it was at had so many different little paths to explore with fountans, or statues, or other fun decorations. There was a Gazebo, a cute white bench under an arch, a little wishing well, and many, many places to walk around these little mini forests. In the little forests there were tons of paths you could choose all marked with different arches and gravel stones, and on each path there were benches and chairs you could sit in. So just after the beautiful bride cut her cake, she was preoccupied with taking pictures, so I snuck off to explore. I got to sit down in one of the benches in one of the little forests and just breathe that fresh air. It's like a whole new world for me. I sit down and look up at the clouds through the treetops and take a deep breath, then I close my eyes and just lose myself in the silence. I feel this deep connection with the earth and feel so truly peaceful when I am outside. There was one day where I wanted to take a walk really bad and so I took a friend with me and we just walked even though it was freezing and raining, but we cut the walk short because we got too cold. But when I got home I still felt the need to be outside, so I called up my cousin and we got some towels and we went to the park and just laid out in the rain with our eyes closed. I didn't care if there was the possibility that I would get sick, I just had to be outside and connect with nature. I probably sound weird saying it, but I am a nature lover and I'm proud of it lol. That's why I like nature photography because I love to capture that calmness and beauty that I feel and see all the time. I just feel grateful to have this beautiful Earth to live on. So here's some of my favorite pictures I've taken of nature scenes to pay tribute to our Mother Earth.
(Look closely, there's a butterfly in this one)
Well there ya go :) there's lots more where that came from, but those are the ones that stood out to me today and that I felt like sharing. Hope you enjoyed this Saturday Specific, and tune in next week! :)
